The Lord rescued our precious Hudson at 11 months old, just before her first birthday, which happened to fall on Easter Sunday that year.

It was so gracious of the Lord to have us be with our church family on that day of intense suffering.

He knew, more than ever before, we would need to hear the gospel preached on that day.

We grieved and we celebrated Jesus conquering sin and death on the cross, once and for all.  Because of his perfect sacrifice, for the believer, death has lost its sting. We will see be together again one day.

Jesus was victorious over the grave and one glorious day, he will return with heaven in hand.

Until then, we sing, in life and death, Lord, abide with me.
